Updated most of Vice City textures to HD Textures. Thanks to improved graphics tech, you can step into Vice City in GTA 5 and enjoy fictional Miami in all its humid glory. However, there are new missions dropping with Vice Cry: Remastered that make this mod more than just a fun rebuild of a GTA classic. The trailer shows off some of the original missions Tommy Vercetti gets himself wrapped up in, but you won't be able to play those in this mod.
Vice Cry: Remastered runs as DLC, with new models and textures, working traffic lights, custom population groups, car generators, better water mechanics, and 3D neon models - amongst other things. It looks like this is a fresh update, as a version titled '1.0' dropped on December 20, 2019, a month or so after the official trailer launched. You'll need to faff around a tad with other, supporting mods, and faff a tad further if you want the cars to be authentically 80s.Vice Cry: Remastered is a port of Vice Cry, a popular mod for GTA Vice City that overhauled the game's graphics back in 2015. The download page promises a "full port" of the original mod, plus modern enhancements I don't understand but would gladly sign up for. GTA Vice City Remake Mod for GTA 5 The latest big drop in the list of GTA 5 mods is about a Vice City map. Six-year-old me was sadly deprived of gang violence. I say obviously, despite not having played any of Vice City. The mod brings the entirety of Vice City's map to GTA 5, including remastered visuals. GTA is obviously at its best when you're just larking about with trucks and drawbridges, so I wouldn't worry. GTA 5 mod creator lunchxbles has released the 1.0 version of their GTA: Vice City mod. Here's a trailer, which confusingly features remade cutscenes from Vice City's singleplayer campaign that you can't play with the mod - you only get to muck about with the map, and some homemade missions. It started life as a makeover mod for the original Vice City, so in theory its a better version even before GTA V's technobits. The mod's been floating about for years but only recently hit version 1.0. Sometimes, those cities are sucked from 2002 and splatted into modern videogames, like the Vice Cry: Remastered mod that takes the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City map and plops it into Grand Theft Auto V. There's always a man, a lighthouse, and a city.
